The City Clerk is Melissa Bassett. Her office provides courteous and professional service to elected officials, city staff and most importantly the citizens of East Dublin. We protect and preserve official records and distribute information concerning policy and legislative issues of the East Dublin City Council.
Primary responsibilities of the City Clerk’s Office include:
• Provides administrative services to the City Council
• Collects utility billing, property tax, business license, and municipal fine payments
• Custodian of the City’s seal
• Records official minutes of Council
• Types municipal correspondence
• Prepares and compiles meeting agendas
• Monitors City’s online Agenda and Minutes webpage
• Advertises Public Meeting and Legal notices
• Records Oaths of Office
• Coordinates and completes Public Records Requests in compliance with Georgia Open Record laws
