Regularly scheduled council meetings are the second Monday of each month with the pre-council meeting at 4:30 pm and the regular council session at 5:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>District 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0916.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-253 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0916-300x250.jpg\" alt=\"100_0916\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0916-300x250.jpg 300w, http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0916.jpg 853w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Braxton Brown, Jr has been a lifelong resident of East Dublin and is currently serving as Council member for District 1. He and his devoted wife, Veronica, have been married for 43 years and have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Mr. Brown is a graduate of B.D. Perry High School. He also attended Bell Howard Electronics in Atlanta, Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Brown was a first class fireman and pump operator for Dublin City Fire Department for 2 \u00bd years and served as a Dublin City EMT for 1 \u00bd years. Mr. Brown was employed by Carl Vincent VA Medical Center for 35 \u00bd years before retiring.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Brown continues to further his education through Carl Vincent Institute of Government sponsored by the University of Georgia and the Georgia Municipal Association. Mr. Brown is currently enrolled in the Dublin Laurens County Leadership Program for the 2014-2015 sessions. In addition, Mr. Brown is a member of Mount Green Baptist Church where he currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Deacons.<\/p>\n<p><strong>District 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0919.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-254 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0919-223x300.jpg\" alt=\"100_0919\" width=\"223\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0919-223x300.jpg 223w, http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0919-763x1024.jpg 763w, http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0919.jpg 1049w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 223px) 100vw, 223px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Marvin L. \u201cLen\u201d Tanner, Jr\u00a0\u00a0has lived in the City of East Dublin for 57 years and has represented the residents of District 2 since 1991. As Councilman, Len has earned 84 hours of training from the Carl Vinson Institute of Government, which is sponsored by the University of Georgia and the Georgia Municipal Association.<\/p>\n<p>Len has been married to Ann Hall Tanner for 41 years and they have two sons, Kevin and Keith, and eight grandchildren. Len attended East Laurens Schools and is a graduate of Dublin High School and Middle Georgia College. He and his wife Ann started Tanner Service Center, Inc., which has been a vibrant business in East Dublin since 1974. Len is a member of Brewton Baptist Church and is currently serving as Deacon and Music Director; he has also held several other positions within the Church. He graduated from Wrightsville High School in 1952. He moved to East Dublin in 1955. He married Ruby Wilson in 1956 and they have lived on Sunset Drive since 1963. They have 2 sons, 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>John previously served on East Dublin City Council 1970-1974. He was an original member of the East Dublin Recreation Department Board which started in 1970. In 1973, he had a ballfield named in his honor \u2013 \u201cJohn Sheppard Field\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>John retired from Forstmann Inc. with 46 years of service. He was named the 1995 Georgia Textile Citizen of the Year. John is a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church where he has served as Sunday School Superintendent for the past 19 years. An East Dublin, Georgia native whom has one daughter and a grandson. Ms. Brenda Roberson is a graduate of East Laurens High School. After graduation, she attended Fort Valley State College in Fort Valley, Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>After college Roberson returned to Dublin, Georgia where she began working at the Laurens County Emergency Medical Servies until it merged in 1981 with Laurens County Rural Fire and the Laurens County Sheriff Office. Ms. Brenda Roberson continued to work with Laurens County Emergency Medical\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: revert;\">Services until 1992. In 1992, Ms. Roberson moved to Dekalb, Georgia and began a career with the Dekalb County Sheriff Office. After approximately 4 years Ms. Roberson decided to return to Dublin, Ga and served as a deputy with the Laurens County Sheriff Office until she recently retired February 28, 2023. Ms. Brenda Roberson is currently serving her first term on the East Dublin City Council woman at Large.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">At Large<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0905.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-250 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0905-295x300.jpg\" alt=\"100_0905\" width=\"295\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0905-295x300.jpg 295w, http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0905-1009x1024.jpg 1009w, http:\/\/cityofeastdublin.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/100_0905.jpg 1153w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 295px) 100vw, 295px\" \/><\/a>Alfred (Al) T. Williams has been a resident of East Dublin for more than 25 years and has served as Council member since 1995. \u00a0He and his wife Debra have been married for 35 years and have two children.\u00a0 Their son, Tyler, who is a member of the East Dublin\/Laurens County rural Firefighters, and his family live in East Dublin while Al and Debra&#8217;s daughter, Ammie, is a student at GA State University in Atlanta.\u00a0 Al has been employed with the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center for the past 35 years and is currently serving there as a Chief Voluntary Service.\u00a0 Al&#8217;s father, A.T.
